Nature Log - Sunshine Coast January 2018

January 15, 2018

As I mentioned previously, I'm substituting the garden watch for a nature log because we went on holidays!

Beautiful Sunshine Coast in a scorching heat wave.

Here are some of the gems of nature...

I always love meeting new flowers.

Vovo once described the most stunning flower he had ever seen.  Blue, indigo, white, radiating patterns.  We performed a search and found out it was from a passionfruit tree.  How amazing to see it blooming in person, in the wonderfully wild garden of Shotgun Espresso cafe in Maleny.

Littoral flowers are often classified as weeds!  Glory lily and yellow morning glory.

This little guy (or gal) flew into our car one day.  I think it might be a soapberry bug (Leptocoris tagalicus), but entomologists are welcome to enlighten me!
